As I’m sure everyone is very aware, bus 9189 (the Transfer Bus) is often late getting into QPS in the morning. This is caused by the traffic congestion around the approach to the Shotover Bridge after the bus picks up at Stalker Rd, causing 10-20 minute delays.

To try and help this situation GoBus will be reversing the pick-ups for the morning. 

There will be no change for the afternoon route.

At the moment the timetable has pickup around Quail Rise and Tuckers Beach first, then heading to Shotover Country (Stalker Rd) for pick-up at 8.08am..

Making the first pick-up at Stalker Rd at 7.55am, should allow the bus to return across the Shotover Bridge before the traffic builds.

We believe this small change will allow the bus to avoid the congestion at the Shotover Bridge.

This change will come into effect Monday 19 June.
