We have received formal notification from NZEI, the Primary Teachers Union, that they will hold a paid union meeting on Tuesday 26 March. NZEI has advised that the purpose of this meeting is for members to discuss and consider important issues, including how they might collectively:

– Ensure the historic Mana Taurite | pay equity process properly values the skills, and intellectual and emotional effort of their work as teachers

– Shape union priorities for 2024

QPS will be open during this time, but our usual teaching and learning programmes will only be operating after morning tea on this day (11:30 am). We will have a limited number of staff onsite to look after your child/ren from 9 am; however, we will be fully staffed at 11 am. To support the smooth running of the school, please arrange to send your child/ren to school later in the morning (after 11 am) on that day once we have all staff back on site. 

The following buses will run two hours later than normal.

• D130416 (Closeburn/Fernhill)
• D 130413 (LHE Frankton Road)

The following route(s) are also shared with WHS and will run at regular times.

• D130415 (ST Joseph Transfer Bus )
• D456213 (QPS Transfer Bus, Quail Rise, Tuckers Beach, Shotover Country 

If you cannot make alternative arrangements for the first part of the day, you can send your child/ren to school as normal.
